I can’t believe that I’m typing this, but how many games allow you to play as a cute singing bird that prominently has its round little butt in display during the opening cutscene? As far as my (admittedly low amount of) research has yielded, there’s only one – Joysteak Studios’ adorable title, Songbird Symphony.

Preview | Hands-On With BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle
ReviewsThis article was originally posted on Nintendo Scene on 10th April 2018.
As I’ve reported previously, the wonderful guys at PQube are publishing the upcoming anime fighting crossover game, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle in Europe. In case it hasn’t come across before now, my excitement about this project has only escalated since the announcement of it last year, and I had the huge privilege of playing it at Sakura Fight Festa last weekend. Before I talk about it, it should be stressed that this was the Playstation 4 English language build that’s recently surfaced so not all of what I’m about to say might translate into the final version of the game, or what changes will be applied to the Switch version. This being said, and although I only played a few games, I’ve got a decent idea of how the game works and plays, so how is it?
Tournament Update | Sakura Fight Festa [07/04/18]
EventsMy second tournament set of the year and a bit of a gap since my last one in January; this time taking on NGI Events anime fighting tournament, Sakura Fight Festa. I entered both BlazBlue: Centralfiction 2.0 and Under Night In-Birth EXE:Late[st], the latter of which I switched mains on only a few days ago, but I’m much more comfortable with Gordeau and his abilities than I was with Carmine so it was a logical switch. Right, but let’s get down to this already.

VideosMCM Comicon London | Event Highlights
EventsVery late to the party on this one, but it’s time for another event report, this time covering the games at MCM London Comicon on the weekend of 27th-29th October. Comicon isn’t exactly well-known for it’s games, but there’s always been a decent showing to keep gamers happy among the comics, movies, and anime. I actually remember playing Guilty Gear with one of my friends at last October’s event. However, enough about that, what did I play and how was it?
