Stumbling around EGX Rezzed, I chanced upon a large variety of games of a myriad of genres, but I found myself drawn to a particular aesthetic and found a game I hadn’t expected. Created by a small team of 5 known as Cardboard Sword with development beginning in 2015, The Siege and The Sandfox is, for the lack of a better term, a 2D stealth adventure. I’d like to point out before I start that the demo I played is unfinished, so some of the things I say about it might change before release, but how is the game in its current state and are there any things I found out about The Siege and the Sandfox that may change it in the future?
Anyone who knows me will know that I am rather a large fan of the JRPG genre, in fact, I normally will drop pretty much any other game I happen to be playing to pick one up. Furthermore, in that genre, I consider Bravely Default to be one of the best. So when I found out that some of the guys behind Bravely were making a new JRPG, I was all for it. Enter, Octopath Traveler.
Following on from the success of the Nintendo Classic NES Mini, rumours began to circulate about the possibility of a successor. So when the announcement of the Nintendo Classic SNES Mini came out, the public began frothing at the mouth, especially as the successor was billed to have the previously unreleased StarFox 2 playable for the first time. We were very lucky to receive a SNES Mini to review, so what are my initial thoughts on it?
