I’ve been waiting and watching this project develop over the last couple of months and I’ve been hoping for a confirmation that it was coming to the EU region so I could realistically cover it here. As of yesterday, PQube have announced that they will be bringing Arc System Work’s next anime fighting game, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle to Europe this Summer.
For those that haven’t heard of this; Cross Tag Battle is a crossover fighting game from the creators of such hits as the BlazBlue and Guilty Gear series. In this game, they are bringing together characters from not only BlazBlue but also Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth EXE:Late[st] and (in their fighting game debut) characters from RWBY. This has already been confirmed to be coming Nintendo Switch with a roster of 20 fighters at launch and a further 20 confirmed, coming in packs of 3 characters.
Furthermore, today Arc System Works announced the characters that make up Character Pack #2; Aegis from Persona 4 Arena, Carmine from Under Night, and Jubei from BlazBlue. These 3 will be added to the roster of 25 characters we already know; which include fan favourites from the four franchises like Ragna, Es, Ruby, Hyde, Chie and many others. You can find the trailer for Character Pack #2 below.
I’ll bring you more information on BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle the moment it is announced. But, for now, what do you think of this game? Will you be picking it up when it releases in Summer? Or are there any characters that are missing that you want to see announced? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter (@reuthegamer).
